New Open Bridges project coming soon for Heritage Open Days September 11th – 20th 2026
Following on from last year’s online event and exhibition, ‘Hull’s River Bridges’, we are returning to Heritage Open Days this year to focus on everyday working life.
The Open Bridges website already contains a wealth of stories and images. ‘Working Life’ is a new online exhibition of everyday working life, depicted through stories and previously unseen, rare and restored photographs of working life through the years, especially created for this year’s Heritage Open Days Festival.
Rich & Lou will also be hosting an in conversation about the Open Bridges project at Wrecking Ball Music and Books on Whitefriargate, in Hull. Please see the event listings nearer the time for details. If you would like to come, it would be great to see you there.
The Open Bridges book, ‘A River Full of Stories’ is available through all Hull and East Riding Libraries.
