Joseph Cox – Bridges of the River Hull
Joseph Cox is a graphic artist and illustrator based in Hull, East Yorkshire with 15 years’ experience in the creative industries. His work encompasses illustration, product design, graphic design, animation and print. Inspired by music, technology, architecture, his local surroundings, engineering and more. He gets particularly inspired by projects where he can learn something, and can dig in and pull out the details of what it’s about.
Hence the desire to create print work based on the bridges of the River Hull. After being inspired by the Open Bridges project, Joe produced the initial ‘Bridges of The River Hull’ artwork as a limited edition screen print. Later updating it to the River Hull screen print which explores more of the architectural details of the various bridges on the river.
Joseph is based at Form Shop & Studio, run with his partner Alice, where he sells his own work alongside other artists, print, cards, gifts and homeware. He also looks after Juice Studios, directly above the shop with an open access print studio where many of his prints are produced.
