Hull Fair 1913 – 2023
Today’s post is a slight (and temporary) departure for Open Bridges. This post features photographs of Hull Fair from the 1980s by Open Bridges contributor, artist Andy Hazell along with photographs from 1972/3, but first a somewhat saucy postcard sent from Frank to Miss E Jessup in Withernsea and posted on 23rd September 1913.

The photographhs from 1972 and ’73 are from colour 28mm negatives.
The last photo I took for a possible release of the Red Guitars’ new single initially proposed following the band’s last UK tour in 2023. Quite apt really, it’s been a rollercoaster of a different sort since then.
